Kenneth A. Hoop

Kenneth A. Hoop, 72 years of Peebles, Locust Grove Community died Thursday, March 14, 2002 at the Adams County Hospital at West Union.

He was born at Peebles, Ohio on January 6, 1930 the son of the late Peter and Mittie Ball Hoop.

He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ, a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked as Security at General Electric.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Woods Hoop whom he married on September 5, 1953, One son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Sheila Hoop of Peebles, one daughter and son-in-law Kendra and Harry Shoemaker of Peebles, four brothers, Donald Hoop of Manchester, Arthur Hoop of Loveland, Charles Hoop of Vanlue, Homer Hoop of Findlay, two sisters, Carol Schooner of McComb, Jenny McKee of Patterson, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Jim Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. till 5:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
