Lance Copas, 57 years of Batavia, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in West Union, Ohio on September 5, 1954 the son of the late Patricia Lykins Copas.
Lance was an Amateur Radio Operator and a member of the National Speleological Society.
He is survived by his father, Ivan Copas of Peebles, two sons; Jonathan Copas and Matthew Copas both of West Union, one daughter; Tricia Copas Stewart of Camberra, Australia, and four grandchildren; Hannah, Serenity, Ryken, and Kelden.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Serpent Mound Shelter House. Persons in attendance of memorial service need to inform park employees so the parking fee will be waved.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
