Larry L. Newman, 63 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

Larry was born on May 26, 1940 in Hillsboro the son of the late Charlie Newman and Virginia Lee Rhoads Gillespie.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Newman.

He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and the Highland County Antique Tractor's Club.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Everetts Newman who were united in marriage on November 14, 1959, two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Carmen Newman, Kevin and Randi Newman both of Hillsboro two grandsons Shay and Reed Newman, two step grandsons, Danny and Dusty Strong, step father Paul Gillespie of Hillsboro, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Lois Newman of Hillsboro, Russ and Lydia Newman of Hilllsboro, half brother, James Gillespie of Hillsboro, half sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Ken Siders of New Vienna, step brother, Loren Gillespie of Hillsboro, step sister step brother-in-law, Ruth and Waldo Morgan of Hillsboro, several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 7, 2003 at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with David Stokes and John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. till 6:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
