Larry Thomas Tira, 62 years of Sardinia, Ohio, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Marshall, Ohio on November 19, 1944 the son of the late William Floyd and Alta L. Hammond Tira.
Larry was a Sales Representative for the Tecumseh Buildings at Sardinia. Beside being in the building trade, he was a pilot and enjoyed flying.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one niece Shelley Parry Craft.
He is survived by his wife Doris Shorter Tira whom he married on June 23, 1995, son and daughter-in-law, Heath and Kelli Tira of Washington C.H., daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Jesse Jaminson of Houston, TX, step son Scott Abernathy of Williamsburg, step daughter, Christina Brent Wilson of Lynchburg, four grandchildren, Sidney Wilson, Madilyn Wilson, Amanda Grady, and Laura Watson, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Barbara Tira of Hillsboro, Don and Dianna Tira of Hillsboro, Bob and Donna Tira of Hillsboro, one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Steve Parry of Hillsboro, mother-in-law, Francis Sarah Shorter of Lynchburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till service time at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home.
