Laura M. Jackson, 62 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 26, 1943 the daughter of Russell E. and Clara Belle Short Penwell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Belle Penwell, daughter, Shelly Jackson, sister, Susan Paulette Penwell, and brother, Terry Lee Penwell.
She is survived by her husband, Colen Jackson, who she married on July 16, 1960, father, Russell E. Penwell of Peebles, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lee and Sylvia Jackson of Peebles, daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Day of Piketon, Jackie and Dale Downey of Lucasville, Karri and Kerry Dunn of Chillicothe, brothers, Ricky Penwell of Peebles, Roy Penwell of Latham, Gene Penwell of Peebles, Randy Penwell of Bainbridge, David Penwell of Peebles, sisters, Zorritta Knisley of Peebles, Peggy Tong of Peebles, Melody Cross of Bainbridge, ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. Carey Hilterbran officiating. Burial will follow in the Lapperell Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
