Lee Caplinger

Lee Caplinger, 89 years of Peebles, died Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.

He was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 21, 1915 the son of the late Alfred and Pearl Freeland Caplinger.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ and Peebles American Legion Thompson-Wallingford Post #594.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Elsie Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Hull Caplinger, who he married on January 25, 1941, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ with Jim Chandler, Bill Christman, and Wade Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Brushcreek Baptist Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ.

Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
