Lena Smittle, 92 years of Seaman, died Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Ohio Valley Manor at Ripley.
She was born at Phelps, Kentucky on January 3, 1911 the daughter of King David and Elizabeth Blankenship Dotson.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Smittle in 1980, one son, Ernie Smith, two brothers, John Henry Dotson, Andrew Dotson, four sisters, Lulu Hymore, Eillen Mapes, Vada Gardner, Delthia Head.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, James Smith of Indiana, one daughter, Marie Sharp of Seaman, two sisters, Sophie Mapes of Dearpark, Ohio, Rita Michaels of West Union, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis- Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Keith Mapes officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. till services time at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
