Leo W. Davis, 89 years of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Fayette County, Ohio on December 13, 1924 the son of the late Everett Earl and Hazel (Anders) Davis. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Williams, one brother Richard Davis, one sister Helen West and one grandchild.
Leo was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ, Grain Elevator Operator for Buckley Brothers in Wilmington where he retired from after many years of service and was an Army Veteran of WWII.
On October 16, 1948 he was united in marriage to his wife of 66 years Louise (Morris) Davis. Beside his wife he is survived by two sons, Roger (Bethanie) Davis of Blanchester, OH., Steven (Elaine) Davis of Moorefield, W. VA.; two daughters, Shirley Williams of Blanchester, OH.,
Janet (Joel) Shultz of Wilmington, OH.; two brothers, Gene Davis of Hillsboro, Kenneth Davis of Springfield; one sister, Pauline (Charles) Dowler of New Carlisle, OH.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Bob Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Family requests memorials to the Allensburg Church of Christ or the Alzheimer Association.
