He was born in Chillicothe on April 15, 1959, the son of the late James and Jolene (Maddix) Hicks.
Leonard is survived by his sons, Shane Eric Hicks, Eljay Hicks and Maddix James Hicks, step-son, Sam Cooper, five grandchildren and brother, Lonnie Hicks, Jr.
