Leota E. Quickle

Leota Quickle, 81, of North Union, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the home of her son. She was born February 14, 1932 in Elmville, the daughter of the late Leo and Velma Lewis Edingfield.

On September 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Roger Quickle, who preceded her in death on October 14, 2001. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Quickle.

Mrs. Quickle had worked many years for Lords Sundry Store, the United Department Store and Litt Bros. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Jeffery Leanna Quickle of New Vienna, daughter-in-law Debby Quickle of Hillsboro, sister Helen Shoemaker of Hillsboro, brother Donald Ruth Edingfield of Belfast, five grandchildren, Terry Quickle, Kenny Quickle and Kyle Quickle of Hillsboro, Chad Rosa Quickle of Leesburg, Amber Quickle of New Vienna, seven great-grandchildren, very special nieces and nephews and their families, and her special friend and caregiver Joyce Creech.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home; burial will follow at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home.
