Leroy McCann 78 of Peebles died Friday, July 14, 2006 at his residence.
He was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 6, 1928 the son of the late Vernon and Mernia McCane McCann.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Genevie Shoemaker McCann on August 31, 1990, two daughters, Linda and Esther McCann.
He is survived by his 2nd wife Mae Bevins McCann of Peebles, five sons and daughters-in-law, David McCann of Peebles, Daniel and Anita McCann of Peebles, James and Lori McCann of West Union, Charles and Lexie McCann of Peebles, Benjamin McCann of Peebles, five daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Henry White of Seaman, Mary and Tom Dunlap of Peebles, Rebecca and Bob Hawkins of Peebles, Rachel and Tom Savage of Piketon, Elizabeth Butt of Peebles, two step sons, Billy Newton of Manchester, Lonnie Bilyeu of Manchester one step daughter, Kathy DeAtley of Peebles, two brothers, Don McCann of Winchester, Delbert McCann of Martinsville, two sisters, Lucille Sheeley of Seaman, Dorothy McCann of Florida, twenty nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. Burial will follow in the May Hill Cemetery with Military Graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
