Lewis Wesley Behm

Lewis Wesley Behm, the son of John Wesley and Ethel McManis Behm was born on September 30, 1913 near Winchester, Ohio.
On February 1, 1934, he united in marriage to Lida DeVore. To this union two sons and twin daughters were born.
He leaves to morn, wife Velma, married December 16, 1987, sons, Richard Helen Behm of Hillsboro, Jerry Effie Behm of Belfast, daughter, Janet Bill Butler of Hillsboro, grandchildren, Zelda Steve Karnes, Vanessa Johnson, Val Tracy Behm, Janell Jason Allison, Marty Sandy Behm, Angie Martin Boris, Sue Jeff Leach, Renee Tim Hagan, Gina David Van Zant, eighteen great grandchildren, step children, Charles Carolyn Walker, DaveMargie Walker, Peggy Mike Rector, several step grandchildren and a host of relatives, neighbors and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, wife Lida, daughter Sandra, brothers, Samuel, Andy and Carl, sister, Marguerite, step son, Bob Walker.
Graduated from Winchester High School in 1933, lived a short period of time in Adams County, moved to Belfast Community where he farmed for over 50 years, a member of the Belfast United Methodist Church since 1943, enjoyed baseball, basketball and has made friends all over Highland County and surrounding areas.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Pastor Ken Woleab will officiate with burial to follow in the Coss Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials to the Belfast United Methodist Church or the Highland District Hospital Foundation.
