In Loving Memory of Linda S. Bartlett
Linda S. Bartlett, a beloved mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2023 in a tragic accident at her residence in Martinsville, Ohio. She was born on August 25, 1944, in her hometown of Sinking Spring, Ohio, to the late Russell L. and Sara G. (Nace) Carroll. Beside her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Eugene "Gene" Bartlett on July 8, 2019; brother, William Nace.
Linda was a warm-hearted and kind individual who touched the lives of those around her. She dedicated her life to family and community, exemplifying the true meaning of selflessness. Linda owned and operated a general store in Sinking Spring, where she served her neighbors with a smile and a helping hand. Later in life, she moved to Hillsboro, Ohio, where she worked at various grocery and retail stores, never failing to brighten the day of anyone she encountered.
An avid family person, Linda cherished time spent with her loved ones. She held a deep bond with her daughter, Tamara(Michael) Longstreth, and her sons Roy Brown, Mark Brown, Michael (Lisa) Brown, and Victor Purdin; devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Linda was also a loving sister to her brother Russell (Carolyn) Nace, two nieces and 2 nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She found immense joy and fulfillment in the presence of her family, and her legacy of love and compassion will live on within each of them.
Tragically, Linda's passing was accompanied by the loss of her great grandson, Kevin Jenkins, Jr. in the same fire. The family is devastated by the loss and finding solace in their cherished memories of Linda and her great grandson.
Graveside services for Linda will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring at the convenience of the family.
