Linda Kay Parker, 45 years of the Elmville Community, died Monday, October 20, 2008 at her residence.
She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on January 22, 1963 the daughter of the late William Russell Parker and Naomi McBee Parker of the Elmville Community.
Linda was a graduate of Peebles High School, received an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Southern State Community College. She worked for Ohio Valley Schools, and was a caregiver for Mary Frost. Linda was the secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #9094, Secretary of the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery Association, Secretary of the Brush Creek Township All American Festival, member & treasurer of the Hillsboro Church of Christ in Christian Union, a Kentucky Colonel and was a 18 year member of the Brush Creek Life Squad where she was the 1999 Brush Creek Life Squad EMT of the year.
Besides her mother she is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law Larry Parker of the Elmville Community, and Tom & Mona Parker of Hillsboro. Several cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. Mark Whitt and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
