Lois M. Nichols, 59 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at her residence.
She was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on August 3, 1943 the daughter of Francis and Kathryn Kirker White.
She worked for the Board of Elections in Adams County. She was a member of the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #396, the Shakespeare Club of Peebles, and the United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis White.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Nichols, who she married on March 26, 1965, her mother, Kathryn White of Otway, daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Gary Shupert of Seaman, Megan and Donnie McCarty of West Union, four grandchildren, brothers, Kenneth White of Otway, Roger White of Otway, Jerry White of Portsmouth, sisters, Joyce Bellomy of Waverly, Mary Kay Bates of Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Joe Gilkison officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Eastern Star service at 7:30 P.M.
