Lola V. Young, 73 years of Peebles, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on August 17, 1933 the daughter of the late William and Goldie Booth Workman.
She was a member of the Rarden Church of the Nazarene, Sunday School Administrator, 2006 Peebles Old Timers Day Couple, 1952 graduate of Franklin High School, and worked for Seaman Marathon.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Craig Young, and one daughter, Christina Young.
She was united in marriage on October 9, 1954 to Carl Young, who survives. She is also survived by one son, Eddie Young of Peebles, three daughters and one son-in-law, Edna and Dan Johnson of Peebles, Corrienna Young of Wilmington, Connie Calvert of Seaman, one brother, James Workman of Peebles, one sister, Anna Grabill of Peebles, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one step grandchild, and one step great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rarden Church of the Nazarene with John Euton and Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
