Loren Vance, Jr. died June 17, 2001, in Youngtown, Arizona.
He was born in Hillsboro, January 17, 1932, the son of Retha and Loren Vance, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Alice Dahlgren Vance, and sons: David Vance of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Donald Vance of Buffalo, Minnesota.
He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, class of 1950. Loren served in the Korean War as a combat infantryman with the rank of Technical Sergeant.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned later this year for his family and friends at Hillsboro.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
