Loring G. Ruppel Sr., 83 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, July 27, 2009 Highland District Hospital.
He was born in Toledo, OH. on July 1, 1926 the son of the late Gale Loring and Adella Fay Urban Ruppel.
Loring attended the Toledo Eastminister Presbyterian Church, was a member of the VFW Post # 9094 in Hillsboro and the USLST Association in Toledo.
He is survived by his wife, Arlis "Judy" Ruppel, whom he married December 28, 1946, one son Loring "Larry" Ruppel, Jr. of Charleston, S.C., four daughters and sons in-law, Darlene & Tom Erdman of Findley, OH., Judy Fedor of Oregon, OH., Corrinne & Tom Crawford of Florence, S.C., and Linda & Bobby Gifford of La Mesa, Cal., fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Military Rites by the Highland Co. Honor Guard.
