Lorna A. Hawkins

Lorna A. Hawkins, 92 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Center in Lebanon, Ohio.
She was born in Decatur, Indiana on December 25, 1913 the daughter of the late Grant and Effie Schnepp McGill.
She was a member of the Countryside Church of the Nazarene in Willshire, Ohio. She graduated from Decatur High School. She retired from Franklin Electric in Bluffton, Indiana.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin P. Hawkins, who passed away on April 29, 1998, one son, Alvin Hawkins, Jr., and one sister, Lena McGill Lautzenhiser.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Zenana and John Petrie of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Lori Tim Fiske of Columbus, Jan Jack Hermans of Cincinnati, four great grandchildren, Brandon, Weston and Kaitlyn Hermans, and Lee Fiske, one great great grandson, Holden Hermans, and niece, Effie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Countryside Church of the Nazarene in Willshire, OH with Rev. Grayson Atha officiating. Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Countryside Church of the Nazarene.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
