Louise Morrison, 85 years of Portsmouth, died Friday, April 4, 2003 at the Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on July 5, 1917 the daughter of the late Fred and Martha McCormick Morrison.
She was a graduate of Peebles High School and Ohio University. She was a retired kindergarten school teacher in the Portsmouth City Schools. She was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church, American Association of University Women, and Delta Kappa Gamma.
She is survived by her first cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Jay McCormick of Highland Park, Illinois, Kenneth McCormick of Mercer Island, Washington, and special friend, Mrs. James Wittenmyer of Portsmouth.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Locust Grove Cemetery with Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at the Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth at a later date.
There will be no visitation.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
