Lowell H. Shoemaker, 72 years of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on March 4, 1932 the son of the late Sterley and Bertha Hildterbran Shoemaker.
He was a member of the Church of God International in Morehead, Kentucky, where he was a deacon. He was a Kentucky Colonel and member of the NRA.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Shoemaker, who he married on May 29, 1971, sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Darlene Shoemaker of Peebles, Forrest and Linda Shoemaker of Peebles, Lonnie and Donna Shoemaker of Ewing, Kentucky, David Shoemaker of Flemingsburg, Mark Shoemaker of Flemingsburg, daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Martin Conley of Flemingsburg, fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with James Pollitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
