Lucille Wright, 100 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Sugartree Ridge, Ohio on October 4, 1906 the daughter of the late Starling and Vernice Haynes Carr.
She was a member of the Mt. Washington Church of Christ where she celebrated her 100th birthday on October 3, 2006 with approximately 100 friends, neighbors and family members came to pay their respects and help her celebrate.
She retired from Robertshaw Controls when she was sixty-five, where she worked for twenty years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert P. Wright, who passed away on April 14, 1971, infant son, Larry Wright, step daughter, Dorothy Templeton, step grandson, Danny Wright, and four sisters, Flotilla Sherloh, Lola Macanko, Ruth Minter, and Eva McQuitty.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Joan Wright of Hillsboro, step daughter, Evelyn Wright of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Joseph Wright of California, Randall Wright of Indiana, Cynthia Baker of Texas, Suzanne Wright of Hillsboro, thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two special nieces, Jenny Margaret Pekarovich of New Jersey, Mary Jean Grimes of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Derrick Stump officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
