Luke Alan Davis died unexpectedly June 28, 2003 in his home in Astoria, NY.
He was born in Kenton, Ohio on December 23, 1950, and graduated from Tecumseh High School in the Class of 1969.
He is survived by his parents, Bob and Copie Davis of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of New Carlisle, three brothers, Les, Lt. Col USAF Ret of Hondo, Texas, Rev. Dr. Woody Davis of N. Canton, Ohio, Rev. Dr. Casey Davis of Rochester, New York, one sister, Shirley Davis Black LPN of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and special friends, Nancy Rigney and Larry Leonti of New York.
Luke was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome while a student at Ohio University. His life in New York was dedicated to overcoming the handicap and living with the frustrations and limitations of the disability. He requested that his brain and medical records be used for research thru the Brain Tissue Bank at McClean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Belmont, Massachusetts 02178. Memorial contributions are accepted in Luke?s name.
Luke requested, his ashes will be scattered at the family farm at Rainsboro, Ohio.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
