Lula B. Hammond, 77 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2019.
She was born in Pikeville, KY on August 26, 1941, the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Bessie (Sowards) Bentley. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her first husband, Ray Ison, second husband, Lonnie Hammond, daughter, Kimberly Hammond, brothers, Charles, Walter, Grant and Mart Bentley and sister, Nellie Bentley.
Lula is survived by her son, Ray Dean "Dino" Ison of Lima, daughters, Brenda Cashwell of Hillsboro, Linda (Mike Anderson) Ison Jones of Hillsboro, Kathy (Dave) Brown of Hillsboro, Carol (Junior) Cramer of Seaman and Rhonda Hammond of Hillsboro, eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, brothers, Scottie Bentley of Sinking Spring and Donnie Bentley of Sinking Spring and sisters, Eileen Self of Texas, Evelyn Carrington of Texas, Geraldine (Paul) Vanderveen of Texas and Carol Sue Gouvoussis of New York.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday August 21, 2019 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Wednesday at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
