Mabel Mary Meredith Bobb

Mabel Mary Meredith Bobb, age 97, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
Born September 3, 1909, in Highland County, she was the daughter of Edward and Annie Morris Meredith. She lived her entire life in Highland County, mostly in the New Petersburg/Rainsboro area. She was a graduate of McClain High School and attended Columbus Business College. She was an active member of Fall Creek Friends Church serving in many areas of the Meeting. Mabel was a member of the Grange, P.T.A., W.C.T.U., and U.S.F.W. In her later years, she worked in food service at New Petersburg and Rainsboro Schools.
In November 1932 she married Arzie V. Bobb, who preceded her in death on November 27, 1989. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Meredith.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Jane of Hillsboro, Ruth Marilyn Skinner of Kent, Donna Lou Jack Lewis of Mason, and one son, Lowell Dean Debra Bobb of Hillsboro, along with ten grandchildren, Deborah Skinner Jack Benson, Mark Skinner, Diane Skinner Michael Mungovan, Lyle Karen Richards Lewis, Amy Lewis Richard Linville, Jared Shawn Lewis, Jill Bobb fiancé, Kevin Donnelly, Mindy Bobb, Cody Bobb, Chelsea Bobb, and seven great grandchildren, Katy and Michael Benson, Carly, Audrey, and Ian Mungovan, Kaitlin and Kevin Lewis, one brother, Paul Nora Meredith, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2007 11:00 A.M. at the Fall Creek Friends Church. David Meredith and H. Scott Latimer will officiate. Burial will follow in Stringtown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fall Creek Friends Church, C/O Marjorie Cook, Treasurer, 700 E. Main, Unit 39, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
