Mabel Young, 87 years of Peebles, died Monday, September 6, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on April 23, 1917 the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Johnson Amon.
She was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ and Adams County Senior Citizens.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Young, who passed away November 21, 1988, and son, Kay Allen Young.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Dorothy Young of Hillsboro, Gary Joe and Sue Young of Lake City, Florida, daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Tim Gillespie of Tipp City, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ with Jim Chandler and Bill Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
