Madeline Landess, 95 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday August 15, 2022.
Madeline was born in Brown County on April 30, 1927, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edna (Burson) Berry. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Shorty Landess on January 30, 2018, sister, Mildred Keethler and brother-in-law, Paul Keethler.
Madeline was a homemaker who loved her garden and flowers. She was an amazing cook and baker. She always had cookies, pies and cakes to eat and to share with her family and friends. She also loved spending time with her family. Madeline was a devoted Christian and a member of the Hollowtown Church of Christ where she attended for 70 plus years.
Madeline is survived by her son, Ted (Jackie) Landess of Sardinia, daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Lane of Sardinia, granddaughter, Amanda (Shawn) Eagleston, two great granddaughters, Lauren and Lily Eagleston, special person who was like a daughter, Judy (Gall) Higbee, four special angels, Linda Moberly, Sharon Sibrel, Karen Young and Ebbie VanPelt, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday August 20, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Donations can be made to the Hospice of Hope, Danville Church of Christ or to the Church of Christ Hollowtown.
