Maggie M. Grooms

Maggie M. Grooms, 82 years of Seaman, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at her residence.

She was born in Cave City, Kentucky on March 4, 1924 the daughter of the late William and Kate Blair Smith.

She was a member of the Tranquility Community Church.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Grooms, who passed away in 1992, one sister, Pauline Poynter, and one half sister, Nellie Poynter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Vicki Grooms of Seaman, daughter and son-in-law, Eugenia and Marty Gordley of Peebles, sister, Naomi Sanders of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, grandchildren, Yancy Gordley, Pat Osman, Pam Williams, Tracy Griffith, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church with Rev. Raymond Cox and Rev. Roger Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Tranquility Community Church.

Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman is in charge of arrangements.
