Malita S. "DuDah" Tong, 73 years of Sinking Spring, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024.
Malita was born February 8, 1951 in Chillicothe, OH., the daughter of the late Ira Robert and Mary Ellen (Jordan) Tong. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara F. "Susie" Hammond; brother, Steve Tong; two nephews, Rob Tong and Danny Hammond.
She attended Western Latham High School where she was a cheerleader. She worked at Robertshaw Control in Hillsboro and Airborne in Wilmington. Malita would attend Moler Beauty Acamedy in Cincinnati and was a beautician for several years. She drove a school bus for Ohio Valley Schools for 17 years until she retired.
Malita was blessed with three loving and devoted children, Melody (George) Riley of Sinking Spring, Malissia (J.R. Snider) Burns of Sardinia, Donnie (Amie) Bentley of Sinking Spring; four grandchildren, Cody (Beth) Burns, Corey (Miranda Suggs) Bentley, Christian Bentley, Fayth Riley; three great grandchildren, Case Burns, Ryder Bentley and Arabella Burns; brother, Charles Robert "Bob" (Dianna) Tong of South Dakota; father of her children, Don Bentley of Sinking Spring; niece, Lisa Howard, three nephews, Jeff Tong, Doug and Dwayne Hammonds; several great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitations will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
Pastor Casey McDaniels will officiate with burial following in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
