Margaret Chabot Ellison

Margaret Chabot Ellison, 94 years of Columbus, formerly of Peebles, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at The Forum at Knightsbridge in Columbus.
She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 18, 1912 the daughter of the late Dr. George W. and Sadie Smittle Tener Chabot.
She attended Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in the early 1930?s. She taught Business at the Franklin Township and Lorain High Schools. She was a member of the Peebles United Methodist Church and the Peebles DAR.
In 1960 Margaret married Dr. Robert B. Ellison of Peebles, Ohio and they had many good years together before his death on March 4, 1978. During Dr. Ellison?s final years Margaret dedicated herself to his comfort and well-being.
She is survived by step children, Mary Lou Peter Davis of Columbia, Missouri, and Dan Kitty Ellison of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, one sister, Edith Blair of Staunton, Virginia, four step granddaughters, Jenny Ellison, Katie Davis, Clare Ellison, Peggy Don Babcock, one great grandchild, Elizabeth Babcock, two nephews, John G. Blair, Charles C. Blair, and one niece, Margaret Tener Pearce.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Rev. Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
There will be no visitation observed.
