Margaret Finnegan, 97 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005
She was born in Highland County Ohio on December 6, 1908 the daughter of the late John and Mary Stuckey Moon.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, served as Highland County Recorder serving six terms from 1956-1980, volunteered as a Pink Lady at Highland District Hospital serving over 4000 hours, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, fifty year member of the Daughters of America.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Finnegan in 1954, one son John T. Finnegan, one daughter-in-law Carolyn Dunlap Finnegan, step mother Pauline Moon, one brother Clarence D. Moon, three sisters Sara L. Washburn Dorothy Brewer & Loris Marie Karnes.
She is survived by one son James D. Finnegan of Wilmington, one daughter Margaret K. Loux of Lake Placid, Florida, daughter-in-law, Clara Finnegan of Hillsboro, one sister Sharon Roy Truman of Chillicothe. Ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren & great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 P.M. till time of service at 3:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
