Margaret C. Gorman, 86 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on August 27, 1918 the daughter of the late Alva and Mary Etta Swisshelm Overman.
She retired in 1979 after thirty-two years as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell. She was a member of the Mt. Washington Church of Christ, the Highland County Senior Citizens, and the Ohio Bell Pioneer Club.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Gorman, who passed away on January 30, 1965, son-in-law, sister, Mary Martha Ward, and one brother, Lewis George Overman.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Gorman of Hillsboro, daughters and son-in-law, Mary Ann Peterson of Hillsboro, Malinda Jane O'Cull of Hillsboro, Sharon Kay and Ron Lamb of New Vienna, Donna Sue Gorman of Hillsboro, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one step grandchild, two step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bridges Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 till 5:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
