Marjorie Eileen Greene, 86 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2023.
She was born in Sugartree Ridge on December 30, 1936, the daughter of the late John Winkler and Wilma Francis (Badgley) Gotherman. Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Richard James "Pete" Greene on May 23, 2020; first husband, John L. George Jr; two granddaughters, Amber Smith and Hope Greene; brother, Wendall Gotherman, brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Becky Gotherman; brother-in-law, Jerry Greene.
Marjorie is survived by her eight children; Gary George of Greenfield, Beverly (J.D.) LeMaster of Highland, Chuck (Sandy) George of Lakeland, FL., Brian (Karen) George of Lynchburg, Melinda Gleadle of Hillsboro, David James (Kay) Greene of Hillsboro, Debra (Marvin) Seipelt of Hillsboro, Michael (Becky) Greene of Lynchburg,; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Avedisian of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Beverly Greene of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.
Pastor Tom Zile will officiate with burial to follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the church.
