Marjorie E. Hoop, 74 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley.
She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on May 3, 1927 the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Workman Bayes.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband on June 3, 1993, Glenn Hoop, and one son, Charles Sammons.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Donna Sammons of Peebles, step son and wife, Gary and Erma Hoop of Peebles, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Slack of Peebles, step daughter, Lois Pertuset of Peebles, brother, Charles Bayes, Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, sister, Pauline Hayslip of Peebles, five grandchildren, and five step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Casey McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
