Martha Anna Long, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at home, surrounded with love from her family.
She was born in Portersville, PA on March 23, 1925 the daughter of the late Levi and Gertrude Warsing Jones. Martha worked at Shennango Pottery in New Castle PA., Cedarville College and the Appletree Restaurant near Fairborn, OH.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Harry Jones and Homer Jones and one sister Jean St.Clair.
She is survived by her husband David C. Long whom she married March 10, 1961, three sons Rev. Donald C. Sandra Long of Freemont, MI., Ronald C. Long of Harrisville, PA, David W. Talitha Long of Cedarville, OH., two daughters, Patricia J. John Sticka of Greenfield, OH., Debra A. Norris of Jamestown, OH., eleven grandchildren, Daniel Long of UT., Crystal Long of MI., Rhonda Jenkins of OH, Angela Long of PA., Ronald Sticka of OH., Robert Sticka of IN., Christopher Norris of OH., Conrad Norris of OH., Ashley Norris of OH., Levi Long of OH.and Matthew Long of OH., twelve great grandchildren, two brothers, Ernest Jones of Oil City, PA., and Eddie Jones of Portersville, PA., two sisters Mabel Bickel of Harrisville, PA., and Annie Flick of Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, PA., with local arraignments by Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Pastor James Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 till 4:00 and 7:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, PA.
Memorials may be made to Thompson Funeral Home, 241 East Main St. Hillsboro, OH. 45133.
