Mary I. Brown, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at her residence.

She was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 7, 1919 the daughter of the late John and Ada Howe Hartman.

She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Greenfield, she taught Sunday School for thirty-eight years, and was a Women?s Missionary. She was a 1937 graduate of Wayne Township High School in Jacksonburg, Ohio.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Brown, Jr., who passed away on November 9, 1995, and two brothers, Walter and Howard Hartman.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John E. and Janean Brown of Hillsboro, Jim and Janet Brown of Conyers, Georgia, three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Jean and Ray Mull of Camden, Ohio, Marilyn and Ed Richardson of Eaton, Ohio, Mary Sue and David Conkel of Urbana, sister, Della Mae Cunningham of Middletown, two sisters-in-law, Ruby Hartman of Gratis, Ohio, Mary Frances Hartman of Eaton, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Deborah Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Miltonville Cemetery on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 3:00 P.M.

Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 till 11:30 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
