Mary Martha Davies, 56 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at the Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County, Ohio on November 17, 1945 the daughter of the late A.L. and Martha J. Dixon Shoemaker.
She was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. She worked at the South Point Restaurant for twelve years and the Whitehouse Health Care Center for ten years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Shoemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Pony Davies, who she married on February 28, 1975, brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Pauline Shoemaker of Hillsboro, sisters-in-law, Maggie Shoemaker of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Mae Jane Pence of Hillsboro, Mildred Lemon of Hillsboro, aunts, Blanche Hill of New Vienna, Mabel Collier of Wilmington, Ruth Beryl of Wilmington, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
