Mary Jane Fenner, 71 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at home.
She was born in New Market, Oh on October 2, 1937 the daughter of the late Perry W. and Hazel Carrier Shaw. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert W. Shaw.
Mary Jane owned and operated Mary Jane's Beauty Shop in Hillsboro for forty years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the New Market Baptist Church, and Colonial Dames of America where she served as Chaplain for Anthony Shaw Chapter XVII.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Fenner, son and daughter in-law Christopher E. and Sandy Fenner of Hillsboro, daughter Cynthia J. Fenner of Hillsboro, 3 grandchildren Brooke Leigh Fenner, Kristen Kay Fenner and Elijah Shaw Bray, and 2 great grandchildren Jase Christopher Fenner and Lane Michael Huston.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home, with Harold Arthur officiating.Burial will follow in New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
