Mary E. Head, 82 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, August 20, 2001 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County, Ohio on April 9, 1919 the daughter of the late Charles M. and Rose A. Collins Ellison.
She was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church, the Hillsboro Emblem Club, and the Bridge Club. She retired in 1985 from the A.S.C.S. Office in Hillsboro.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Niehaus, and two brothers, James and Joseph Ellison.
On September 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to, Jack Head, who survives, she is also survived by her daughter, Angie Head of Cincinnati, granddaughter, Brenna Niehaus, sister-in-law, Polly Ellison of Dayton, two nieces, Rosemary Hanson of Washington, Jane Ellison Corn of Dayton, and nephew, Charles Richard Ellison of Dayton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 11:30 A.M. at the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Stanley Luehrmann officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10:30 till 11:30 A.M. at the St. Mary?s Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to The Brenna Niehaus Education Fund, C/O Firstar Bank, Main and High Streets, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
