Mary E. Hooper, age 82 of West Union, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Wamsley, Ohio on September 24, 1930 the daughter of the late Lester and Ocie Spence Ryan.
Mary was a graduate of Franklin High School, a manager for Williams Directories in Cincinnati for several years, and retired from Peebles Monument Company.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Hooper whom she married on January 2, 1976, one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen C. and Vallery Ryan of Peebles; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Betty Ryan of Hillsboro and Gary and Lou Ryan of Hillsboro; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Pete Puckett of Peebles and Opal Stephens of Peebles; and one grandson, Tyler and Sarah Ryan of Batavia.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Greg Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
