Mary Lou Mccoppin

Mary Lou McCoppin, 75 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born in Brown County, Ohio on October 12, 1930 the daughter of the late Mason Raymond and Clara Eleanor Ward Edwards.
She retired from the Hercules Pants Factory after thirty-three years. She was a former member of the Hillsboro Emblem Club and the Highland County Beagle Club.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McCoppin, who passed away on February 1, 2005, one brother, John William "Bill" Edwards, one sister, Virginia Carolyn Strain, and step mother, Ruth Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Collier of Hillsboro, brother and sister-in-law, Larry Dale and Vicki Edwards of Washington Court House, sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Roger Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Martha Lee and Daryl Whaley of Clyde, Nancy Sue McCreight of Urbana, Margaret E. and Mike Burton of Lynchburg, brother-in-law, Vincent Strain of Hillsboro, sister-in-law, Norma Jean Edwards of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Mark Collier of Hillsboro, Ryan Jennifer Collier of Hillsboro, and five great grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Samantha Collier, Eric Collier, Clayton Collier, and Blaine Collier.
Graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Market Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Janie Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
