Mary McDowell, 78 years of Winchester, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Adams Country Regional Medical Center in Seaman.
She was born in Robertson County, Kentucky on July 9, 1929 the daughter of the late Ross and Irene Orme Mitchell.
She was a member of the Countryside Church of Christ and the Winchester O.E.S. Chapter.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Ross Mitchell, Jr., and sister, Martha Wheeler.
She was united in marriage on November 14, 1945 to Ed McDowell, who survives. She is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Shella McDowell of Winchester, Jerry and Sharon McDowell of Harrison, daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Tom Shupert of Baltimore, Maryland, Rhonda and Dennis Beam of Winchester, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ with Hannum Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Countryside Church of Christ.
Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman is in charge of arrangements.
