Mary Ruth Nichols, 71 years of the Cynthiana Community, died Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at her residence.
She was born in Pike County, Ohio on May 18, 1930 the daughter of the late Clem and Nellie Stewart Allen.
She was a member of the Byington Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Mae Allen.
She is survived by her husband, Leander Nichols of the Cynthiana Community, who she married on December 18, 1947, daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Hughes of Fairborn, foster children, Ernie Nichols of Hillsboro, Mandy Nichols of Hillsboro, brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Debbie Allen of Waverly, Roy and Dorothy Allen of Chillicothe, Bob Allen, sisters and brother-in-law, Janie and Charles Bandy of Waverly, Ellen White of Peebles, brother-in-law, Role Nichols of Waverly, three grandchildren, Ron McClanahan of Springfield, Jason Angie McClanahan of Ashland, Kentucky, Patty Pryor of Fairborn, three great grandchildren, Rodney Huff, Melissa Huff, Tiffany Pryor, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 2:30 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Jeff Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Washburn Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
