Mary M Smiley, 92 years, of Hillsboro passed away at the Mt. Washington Care Center in Cincinnati on Tuesday August 2, 2016.
She was born in Hillsboro, OH June 8, 1924 the daughter of the late Burch & Emma (Roberds) Hastings. Besides her Parent's, she is preceded in death by one brother George Hastings, one step-daughter Bonnie South, and her husband Robert J Smiley whom died on March 19, 2001.
Mary was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and the Prospect WSCS. She worked as a secretary for the Highland Co. Auditor's office as well as for McCarty Engineering, and the Cincinnati public schools.
She is survived by one Step-daughter Susan (Scott) Norvell of Blue Ash, Two Nieces Cheryl (Ron) Jackson & Marilyn (Rick) Heflin, Three Nephews, David (Terri) Hastings, John (Cyndi) Hastings & Richard (Karen) Hastings, three grandchildren Becky Norvell, Steven South & Wendy Wright, and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday August 6, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM unit time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
