Mary J. Smith

Mary J. Smith, 79 years of Highland, OH., passed away peacefully at home Sunday, April 30, 2023.

Mary was born October 10, 1943 in Peebles, OH., the daughter of the late Ralph V. and Dorothy J. (Moore) Wilson. Beside her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wilson.

Mary retired from Candle-Lite in Leesburg. After retiring from Candle-Lite, Mary settled into the life of enjoying her boys, grandkids and great grandkids. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and CSI.

Mary is survived by four sons, Thomas Smith of Highland, Jeffery Smith of Hillsboro, Kevin (Tonya Beckler) Smith of Highland, Damond "Tony" Smith of Highland; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; three brothers, James (Donna) Wilson of Springfield, OH., Robert Wilson of Peebles, OH., Gary (Zondra) Wilson of Peebles, OH.; three sisters, Garnet Conn of Peebles, OH., Shirley (Gary) Johnson of Wilmington, OH., Diane (Steve) Campbell of Washington C.H., OH.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Bert Alsept will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
