Mary Ellen Spargur, 87 years of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Hillsboro, died Friday, November 23, 2001 at the Bon Secours Rehab and Nursing Center in Port Charlotte, Florida.
She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on September 3, 1914 the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Vance Robinson.
She was baptized on February 14, 1928 and was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. She worked for forty years as the Switchboard Operator for Bell Telephone.
She was united in marriage on February 19, 1940 to Kenneth Spargur, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1976. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Warren Jinx Robinson, and three sisters, Ruth Overstake, Helen Graybill, and Frances Miller.
She is survived by her brother, John Robinson of Fairborn, and sisters-in-law, Isobel Robinson of Englewood, Florida, and Anna Robinson of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
