Mary Trickel, 73 years of Blue Creek, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Metta, Kentucky on October 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Fayette and Edna Smith Scott.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bob Trickel who passed away on September 20, 1986; son, Jake Meyer; and step son, Bobby Trickel.
Mary attended Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church at Scrub Ridge and was a member of the Cincinnati Ladies Club.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Dave Dase of Kentucky and Cheri and Scott Obermeyer of Blue Creek; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Priscilla Rogers of Kentucky and Boggy and Betty Rogers of Louisiana; seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Gifford of Sardinia, Dolores Perry of Amelia, Phyllis and Don Trotter of Kentucky, Dolly and Ronnie Baldwin of Peebles, Geneva and Bob Gerding of Amelia, Linda and Robert McIntosh of West Union, and Patty Corbin of Winchester; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; step son, Sonny and Marlo Horton of Cincinnati; and step daughter, Robin and Jim Dowd of California.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church at Scrub Ridge with Doug Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
