Matt E. Murphy, 66 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born on February 7, 1940 at Clover Bottom, Kentucky, the son of the late William and Edna Jones Murphy. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Matt owned and operated the West Main Auto Repair in Hillsboro for 25 years. Matt was a Veteran of our Armed Services, a member of the VFW Post 9094 Hillsboro, F.O.E. Aerie 1161, Hillsboro.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Terri Murphy of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and David Page of Mt. Orab; four sisters, Nancy Anspach of Miamisburg, OH., Mary Click of Richmond, KY., Nina Ridings of Valdosta, GA., Faye Godbey of Valdosta, GA..
Eagles Services will be held 5:00 P.M., Sunday, October 1, 2006 at the Thompson Funeral Home, followed by Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Thompson Funeral Home. According to Matt?s wishes, cremation will follow services.
Family suggests memorials to the U.C. Medical Center Research Department, 3235 Eden Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45267.
