Maxine Brown, 87 years of Peebles, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Hillcrest Nursing Center.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on January 13, 1923 the daughter of the late Ollie and Josephine Hackworth Hoop.
Maxine was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Glenn Hoop, four sisters; Anna Johnson, Mary Jane Hoop, Doris Spivak, and Donna Hilderbrand.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Larry and Karen Brown of Peebles, three daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and Tommy Cook of Washington, Patti Martindill of Florida, and Chris and Mark Westerfield of Atlanta, Georgia, one brother; Paul Hoop of Peebles, three sisters; Lorene Hoop of Peebles, Charlene Ison of Latham, and Norma Liles of Columbus, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
