Melvin D. Davis, 63 years of Leesburg, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born in Clinton County, Ohio on July 8, 1940 the son of Melvin E. and Margaret Rhoads Davis.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Louise Lightner Davis
on November 6 1999, and one grandchild.
He is survived by one son Mark Dale Davis of New Vienna, one step son and wife, Daniel and Joyce Lightner of Seaman, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann & Jerry Edwards Jr., of Leesburg, Susan R. & David Barber of Greenfield, one step daughter and husband, Sherry and Glenn Unger of Lynchburg, one brother, Willis Davis of Blanchester, one sister, Erma Erwin of Washington C.H., mother-in-law Edna Elchert of Hillsboro, special friend, Linda Foster and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Steve Sokola officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
